During the COVID-19 lockdown, families had to adjust to an everyday life that had turned upside down. They all experienced how life is within four walls: home-schooling, working from home, and not being able to visit older relatives significantly tampered with their daily routine.
But the families heroically overcame these newly emerged challenges – with the help of digital tools and solutions. Their adaptability was something Hungarian Telekom wanted to commemorate by putting up statues for them. And of them.
But not ordinary ones: 3D printed mini sculptures created by a famous Hungarian sculptor and placed around Budapest. All the statues were designed explicitly for each chosen location in the city. They visualized the results of Telekom's research on how families adapted to the quarantine using digital tools and what kind of new digital habits were born and carried on into the new normal. So, the people of Budapest were able to see statues of families, e.g., video chatting with each other, enjoying online gaming, and doing an online yoga class at home.
The Exhibition of Us was also available digitally to reach even more families who could relate to it and feel like they were celebrated for their ability to overcome any challenge in their lifes.
